KOF Maximum Impact: Regulation A (Review)
It has been a while since this game hit the Japanese game stores, this version seems to not likely hit the US/European stores. Players might just need to import this and play on a modded PS2.
KOFMIRA is basically the same as Maximum Impact 2, the main difference is it doesn’t have a story at all. Which also means it’s a Dream-Match. To be Frank, i don’t really give a damn about stories since everyone knew that the 3D version of KOF is an Alternative SNK universe. It’s not even heartless to say that KOFMIRA is a 3D version of KOF with Ash Crimson in it.

The 3 vs 3 original system is used on KOFMIRA (Including Boss-Fight), which is already enough of a reason for me to get my hands on this. This includes the character addition of Blue Mary, Makoto Mizoguchi and newcomer Xiao Lon, who is a Hizoku Assassin like her agnate brother Duo Lon. All fighters & Stages are available at default, no need to unlock.

Interface in KOFMIRA is somewhat greenish with color variety to give the game a new feeling. You’ll also get to hear more announcing voices from start to finish (All seemed ok except for the part when he announces the character’s name -_-;).
Like all other 3D Fighting Games, the combo’s and Skills in KOFMIRA is easy enough for a non-familiar gamer to pull. Almost too easy perhaps. Though game balance seemed a bit enhanced, there’s still no Analog support until now which sucks. Camera view is still so near to the fighters just like Art of Fighting 3. Of course the view gets farther when the characters distance themselves. But the main problem is that when the characters are so near, some of their body moves cannot be seen in full glory in such close-up. For Example, in some cases. Kyo’s body is only seen in half when you pull an Ura 180.

Character Portrait is now 2D so no more lags when selecting your favourite characters. Known Modes in KOFMIRA are:
KOFMIRA can also be played on the PC using PCSX2, speed depends on what type of processor you have. Core 2 Duo upwards is recommmendable. Enter the link below to watch a Video-Demo:
