The 5th edition of Initial D’s arcade racing game have just been announced. It will take some time before this one reaches the PS3 since the 4th Stage was just ported for it last week.

Yeah.. And i’m waiting for it right now.. But the Version 4 just came out and 5 already?? And I think i heard that you cannot transfer id4 cards into 5?? That’s what i know.. I hope i’m wrong..
They’ve amped up the racing style something chronic in ID5. I don’t think I ever had to use the brakes so much in the previous versions. It’s got a more realistic driving style that requires you to slow down BEFORE a corner, as opposed to just tapping the brakes and sliding like crazy. Definitely a huge improvement. All I want to know is what does it all say, the writings all in Japanese. Please can anyone tell me.
to people who wonders, i must say sorry because
id4 card holders can’t transfer to id5
i can’t too
better not transfer because id5 gameplay is harder.
and that’s fair
so far arcade vendors in malaysia has no id4 for their upgraded to id5
i wonder…..how abt other countries
I already got here in Indonesia. It’s much harder than ID4, not so much improvement on the graphic, but the best thing is you don’t have to renew the card at all. But too bad it’s still in Japanese language.
Yeah, Some Nihon/Japanese game developers are still very indoor minded. I’m not sure about the console version’s success though. But recently SEGA has been too careful in their business plan. They haven’t even release the english version of Yakuza 3. People all over the net are craving for Virtua Fighter 5 R, Initial D Stage 5 & Yakuza 3. God knows how much money they could’ve made with those titles. I wonder what sega is really thinking these days? Perhaps they are financially low in money.
Back to ID5, here in malaysia it’s almost the same as is US. The Arcade here is DYING. Only several major cities like Kuala Lumpur have an updated arcade premise. People are moving towards Console Gaming.
y is it still d ID5 version is still not in the philippines??? sw have a lots of gamers here and im a initial d 4 gamer and i almost top the charts in time trial stage in net rankings
ID 5 is actually similar to ID 3 in gameplay terms.
The graphic ID 5’s using is ID 4’s (and being upgraded)
I think it’s better in japan version, since the japan ver. has ranking (like MaxTune) and it can do Online Battle (I dont know about how this thing works in Indonesia but some says it can be used)
I’ve tried and epic fail.LOL
so much different from ID 4 i have finished.

I’m under the impression that ID4 was Sega’s personal Tekken 4; experimental and whatnot. If so, then I bet ID5 will be completely awesome shit.

If you don’t understand japanese, why not get a Japanese Manual? Or just get used to it. Anyways check out http://initiald.sega.com
