WD TV, Brand New HD Media Player

Western Digital WD TV is a brand new High Definition Digital Media Player that has the ability to do playbacks of almost all HD Media that’s pretty much available on the net.

Currently priced at RM388-399, WD TV includes 2 USB drive slots. The player acts as a transmitter for picture, music and video files that are stored on your External Hard Drive or Thumbdrive that will be sent towards your LCD/TV for viewing. (HDMI supported)

If you’re an owner of the current generation’s gaming console. You’d probably won’t bother reading this as your shiny consoles already have the ability to play the files types mentioned below. Or perhaps you’re a PC geek like myself who wouldn’t mind watching everything from your LCD Monitor.

But still, there ARE places where you wouldn’t want to bring your heavy pc just to be able to watch all your HD videos. Or if you don’t own a laptop, WD TV settles pretty much everything needed to Listen, View and Watch your currently-stored medias.

No, i haven’t bought this. Still waiting for further price drops early next year. Plus, i’m thinking of getting myself an External HDD first above all things.
