Finally finished my download and installed the Public Beta of Windows 7 Ultimate. I’m still using using the 32bit version as i felt it has the best compatibility with most programs. To try and make it simple and easy to understand, here are some of my highlights:
Setup: Same as Vista, just changed colors
Installation: Took me nearly 2 hours to finish Upgrade-Installation. But New Installation takes less than 1 hour
As the installation finishes, a new animated Windows Logo will appear during start-up. It gave me a feeling of a new start for the current windows. But just how good will it be?
Here are some screenshots of my early windows 7 usage:

What i found out right after my early use of windows 7:
No More Sidebar, Every part of the Desktop is Widget-Able
Few downloadable new widgets (For Now)
New Taskbar Behaviour, Users can now Pin or Unpin Programs from the Taskbar

There can be More than 1 Taskbar Preview for Each Program
Quick Desktop is now embedded as a part of the New Taskbar Behaviour
New Interface for MS Paint
Minor Changes in Windows Explorer Interface (This includes My Computer, Documents and so on)
Minor Changes in Control Panel, System Tray, Windows Media Player and some others
More Color for Transparency
New Desktop Themes are much more Colorful and Vibrant
New Themes can be downloaded from: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/Windows7/Personalize
The 2nd to 4th Default theme has automatic Changeable Backgrounds
Select Ease of Access collection for Classic Themes
Move your Mouse to the Far Right Corner of the Taskbar and it will reveal everything behind your overlapped windows
Boot-Time is a bit slower than expected, probably due to the whole desktop is widget-able property
Faster Shut-Down
Internet Explorer 8 feels A LOT FASTER. Dunno how good is the security though. What i like about IE8 was it’s Compatibility View mode where you are given a choice to view webs that don’t display correctly in the new version. It’s like having two worlds of compatibility where before you might have to use different browsers to have a satisfied view of your daily surfs. Plus, when clicking on one of the taskbar previews of the multi-tabbed internet explorer.. you’ll get to preview or go directly to the desired tab. Not forgetting to mention that IE8 almost feels as light as Google Chrome
Fast & Smooth OS environment. Imagine vista with the smoothness of XP
Windows now support Xvid/DivX video codec with mp3/wma audio
Things start to brighten up and became more colourful and vibrant as i get along with the new interface and settings:
